Dracula: Untold Review

So, I wish this movie wasn't called Dracula.  I wish it hadn't been associated to the name Dracula in any way shape or form, because this was not a movie about Dracula.  It didn't have the feeling of a Dracula movie and it certainly wasn't a worthy origin story or reboot.

That all being said, I didn't hate this flick.  The movie was pretty.  The acting wasn't horrible and the action was constant.  The plot, although predictable, wasn't the worst I've ever seen (hey, I watch a lot of horror movies - including the one I'm watching right now, but that's a different review).

Whether or not you enjoy this film will, I believe, depend greatly on how much you love Bram Stoker's Dracula (the book, and to a lesser degree, the movie).  If you're looking for a good origin story or a reboot, this isn't it.  If you're looking for good looking action movie with some nice special effects and a different take on vampires, then you'll probably enjoy Dracula: Untold.
